Community Integration Services

Community Integration at Unity Developmental Disabilities Care Center (UDDCC) helps individuals with developmental disabilities, TBI, and youth in foster care participate fully in everyday community life. Our goal is to support each person in building confidence, developing independence, and forming meaningful connections outside the home.

Through structured, person-centered activities, individuals are supported to explore their interests, learn new skills, and build relationships in real community settings.

Community Integration may include:

• Recreational outings (parks, museums, libraries, sports events)
   
• Social activities (clubs, community centers, volunteer work)
   
• Life skills practice in the community

  • Using public transportation
     
• Educational and cultural activities

UDDCC ensures each outing or activity is:

• Adapted for sensory, behavioral, or mobility needs

Our trained staff assist with communication, social skills, safety awareness, budgeting, problem-solving, and everyday tasks that help individuals succeed in the real world.
